The role
As a Front-End engineer, you will focus on delivering new features and help maintain our software. You will work closely together with Product and Design to strike an optimal balance between well designed and maintainable components, align with our Back-End engineers on API requirements and collaborate with other Front-End engineers in order to maintain a healthy codebase.
Our team
Our Engineering team is based in Amsterdam, where most of us typically work 2 days a week onsite. We are a lean team of senior engineers (Back-End, Front-End, Data, DevOps and ML) and a handful of colleagues in Product and Design. Together we operate in an efficient and pragmatic way, where everyone’s voice is heard. Apart from a short daily stand-up, we aim keep meetings to a minimum. Team events are held on a monthly basis to foster collaboration, enhance communication, and boost morale.
Job requirements
Your experience
- > 5 years of software development
- > 3 years TypeScript/React
- Strong understanding of React fundamentals, including component lifecycle, state management, and hooks
- Solid grasp of modern TypeScript features and best practices
- Ability to write semantic HTML and responsive, maintainable CSS
- Understanding of techniques to optimize application performance and load times
Bonus if you have
- Experience with the Material UI (MUI) component library
- Experience with NX Monorepo, Webpack and Yarn
- Experience with Jest testing framework
- Experience in FinTech, economics, or private equity
