What will you do?

You will be leading data-gathering efforts for a key new data type on our platform: Conferences. In this position, you will be responsible for the data quality and process of the entire feature. For this, you will:

• Investigate and identify potential trade fairs and assess the value of scraping their exhibitor lists as well as researching additional data points.

• Determine the worthiness of scraping certain trade fairs based on pre-defined criteria.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation for the research and decision-making process.

• Set up web scrapers using tools like Octoparse to extract exhibitor lists and relevant information from trade fair websites.

• Document the scraping process comprehensively, ensuring that all steps are recorded and reproducible.

• Input the scraped data and additional information into our content management system.

• Regularly update and maintain the content management system to ensure the information remains up-to-date and accurate.

• Report and communicate problems and come up with solutions that will be integrated into a worldwide feature.

As this is a new process for our company, there is of course ample opportunity for you to refine and improve our process and grow!

What do you need to join us?

• Experience – You have a finished University degree and have interest with Python, scraping and database management

• Education –Bachelor of computer application/ Bachelor of business analytics

• Workplace enthusiasm – You showcase a strong interest in project management, database management and data management techniques and possess strong attention to detail

• Languages – You are fluent in English

• Availability – You are available for a full-time position
